Care Guide
Nineteenth Avenue pieces are made from lace, fine mesh, and intricate embroidery, with considered hardware throughout. With the right care, your pieces will keep their shape, colour, and finish.
Washing
We recommend hand washing your lingerie in cool to lukewarm water using a gentle, mild detergent. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh detergents, as these can break down delicate fibres and weaken elastic over time.
Gently press the water through the fabric rather than wringing or twisting, which can distort the shape and damage lace and embroidery.
Drying
Always air dry your pieces flat or hung naturally, away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid tumble drying, as heat damages elastic, lace, and embellishments.
Storing
Store your lingerie flat or gently folded, with structured and underwire pieces kept in shape rather than crushed. Fastening hooks and clips before storing will help prevent snagging against other pieces.
A Few Things to Avoid
Hot water, which can fade colour and weaken fabric. Ironing directly onto lace, mesh, embroidery, or hardware. Storing pieces while still damp.
